Prof. Doğruöz has a PhD in Linguistics and her research topics include on multilingual communication, social media, building and maintaining linguistic resources across languages and domains. Besides her role as an academic, she is a co-editor for Language Resources and Evaluation Journal, has served several times as the Area Chair (AC) and the Senior Area Chair (SAC) for international and peer-reviewed computational linguistics venues (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, LREC-COLING), expert evaluator for European Research Area, expert for international science foundations around her topics of expertise.
