Validation Centre for Spoken Language Resources | Validation Centre for Written Language Resources
Describing, assuring and improving the quality of language resources are important tasks carried out by ELRA and its validation centres. The assurance of such quality is an important factor in ELRA’s success.
In the start-up phase of ELRA, it was foreseen that a Network of Technical Centres should be established to handle quality control.
- SPEX , SPeech EXpertise centre, The Netherlands, was established as ELRA Validation Centre for Spoken Language Resources (VC_SLR).
- CST , Center for Sprogteknologi, Denmark, became the root node of ELRA network of Validation Centres for Written Language Resources (VC_WLR).
